Changing access based on dates

I'm not sure this is possible, but it would be nice if there was a way to have secure access done in two ways - one linked to the job code, this way if a person changes roles in the organization, the access would change with their job code change. The other part of it, which makes it so that the previous idea may not be viable would be able to also give a la carte access for those add-on duties that Justin mentioned above for other duties as assigned, particularly for a date range when another person is out.

We get requests more regularly than I would like to admit, for users to get access for a date range, such as someone is leaving at the end of the month, or an administrator is out and another user needs access just for a certain day. In the new product, it would be nice if we could add a time frame for security as an option. Below are two samples that I have for this month.
